Neolithic Age

Jordan’s first farming villages appeared in the Neolithic, when people began to settle, grow crops and keep animals. Beidha near Petra, Ghwayr in Wadi Feinan, the cave of Iraq ed-Dubb near Ajloun and Qasr al-Jilat in the eastern desert are among the sites covered here.
