His Majesty King Abdullah II and Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman visited the Jordan Museum in Amman on May 24, 2024. Accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the King and the Sultan were briefed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, the vice-chair of the museum’s board of trustees. She provided an overview of the museum’s most significant collections and exhibits, which showcase Jordan’s cultural, historical, and archaeological heritage spanning over one and a half million years.
During their visit, King Abdullah and Sultan Haitham toured the museum and explored various exhibits that highlight human innovation in addressing critical challenges, such as food security, water harvesting systems, agricultural techniques, and construction materials.
Additionally, the King and the Sultan, along with His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein, who served as the escort of honour to Sultan Haitham, signed the museum’s guestbook.
