A 360° View of the Three Churches Complex

SHARE

Standing between the Church of St. George and the Church of St. John the Baptist, this 360-degree panorama places you inside the layered heart of Jerash’s Three Churches Complex. Weathered Corinthian columns rise from the open ground among low limestone walls, fallen drums and fragments of once-elaborate Byzantine interiors. Ahead and around you, the surviving church walls define separate but adjoining sacred spaces, while exposed mosaic panels and carved architectural pieces hint at the colour and craftsmanship that once filled these churches. The view is open, sunlit and wonderfully intimate: a quiet setting where the scale of the complex becomes clear, and where Roman columns, Byzantine worship spaces and the modern city beyond all meet beneath the wide Jordanian sky.
