Hesban Rocks

A long spur extending northwest of Tell Hisban is home to a collection of crude stone monuments. At the western end, which consists of partially arable land, there is a knoll that features a large ruined cairn surrounded by a circular enclosure made of small stones. The steep slopes to the southwest, west, and north are dotted with dolmens that extend nearly to the bottom of the valley. In total, there are at least 26 crude stone monuments on the hill. This archaeological site dates back to the Chalcolithic and Early Bronze periods and includes a rock-cut tomb on its western side.
