360° Panorama of the Temple of Allat, Wadi Rum

SHARE

Standing among the ruins of the Temple of Allat, the panorama reveals a broad sandstone platform edged by low walls, scattered blocks, and surviving column bases. This Nabataean sanctuary, dedicated to the goddess Allat, once formed part of Wadi Rum’s network of sacred and trading places. The temple’s worn stonework and open central space preserve a quiet trace of its ceremonial past.

Beyond the ruins, the view stretches across Wadi Rum’s expansive valley toward towering, layered sandstone mountains. Red-gold rock faces frame the desert floor, while a vast blue sky deepens the sense of scale and isolation. The ancient temple appears inseparable from its setting: a small, carefully built monument surrounded by the monumental landscape.
