Chamber of Columns: 360° Interior of the Coloured Triclinium

SHARE

A 360-degree photo inside the Colourful Triclinium (Wadi Farasa) reveals a large, roughly 11×11-meter, intimate banqueting chamber hewn directly from the vibrant, striped sandstone walls, with intense red, white, and yellow bands. The panoramic view shows high, carved stone benches (klinai) along the walls for banqueters, accented by exquisite architectural details, including engaged half-columns with cabled fluting that divide the walls into sections. Traces of painted white stucco, which originally covered the hall, contrast with the exposed rock, while the smooth ceiling, intricate carved niches, and a stepped bench at the back wall are visible in the high-resolution, immersive view, showcasing the detailed artistry of the Nabataean funerary space.
