Qal’at Unaiza: A Basalt Hajj Fort in Photos

Below the black hill of Jabal Unaiza, about 36 km north of Ma’an, Qal’at Unaiza is a basalt Hajj fort of the later 16th century. This album follows the visit: the walls, the vaulted rooms of the courtyard, the cistern, the landscape and the Hejaz Railway station nearby.
