Qasr Ain Es-Sil: An Umayyad Farmhouse in Photos

Share

On the northern edge of the Azraq oasis, Qasr Ain Es-Sil is a small Umayyad farmhouse of black basalt, with rooms around a courtyard, an olive press and a little bath. This album follows its thick basalt walls and doorways, the rooms, the press stone and the sunken rooms of the bath, and looks out over the plain of Azraq North.
