Alex Castle El-Lejjun, known in antiquity as Betthorus, rises from the rocky plateau of central Jordan as a powerful reminder of the region’s Roman frontier. This 360° panorama places the viewer among weathered stone walls, collapsed masonry, and scattered architectural blocks, revealing the lasting outline of a fortress once built to command the surrounding landscape. The surviving ruins stand amid sparse desert vegetation and pale earth, with cultivated fields visible beyond the site.
