Ancient Dolmen Overlooking the Jordan Valley – 360 Panorama

This 360° panorama at the Damiya Dolmen Field in Jordan places the viewer beside one of the region’s best-preserved prehistoric dolmens, surrounded by the rugged hills overlooking the Jordan Valley. At the centre stands the ancient stone tomb itself — a massive capstone balanced on upright slabs, with a carefully carved square entrance leading into the burial chamber beneath. The weathered sandstone glows in warm shades of gold and orange under the intense midday sun, revealing thousands of years of erosion across its rough surfaces. Scattered rocks and collapsed stones nearby hint at the many other dolmens that once covered these hills in far greater numbers.

Looking west, the panorama opens dramatically toward the Jordan Valley, where the landscape drops sharply into hazy plains below. To the north and south stretch dry rocky hills dotted with low desert vegetation, while the eastern side reveals several rock-cut tombs carved directly into the hillside.
